Increasing risks from industrial espionage

In an interview with the Danish newspaper Borsen, PA cyber security expert Soren Knudsen gives his view on how companies should protect themselves from industrial espionage and cyber crime.

Soren refers to a survey, conducted by PA Consulting Group, which shows that many companies are underestimating the cyber threat: “Many companies believe that they are not the typical target of industrial espionage, and hence their security policies are not updated. Often employees are allowed to use their own IT equipment on the corporate network, and only a few have a structured or formalised monitoring of threats from social media.”
