Selecting and implementing a new HR and payroll solution
New Look is a leading fashion retailer with over 450 stores in the UK and a growing presence in France. The company's HR and payroll systems were at the limit of their ability to support the business, so PA was invited to do a systems review. Following this review PA was commissioned to support the evaluation, selection and implementation of an integrated human resource and payroll solution, designed to enhance operational deliverables and facilitate the improved information necessary for management control and strategic planning.
In addition to the systems review, PA worked with New Look’s HR team and Board to define the people strategy and develop the HR processes that would meet the future needs of the business.
New Look felt that a mid-range system would be appropriate - saving costs while meeting the needs of the business in the medium term and ensuring a speedier timescale for delivery. PA advised on the option that best suited the needs of New Look. The recommendation was to acquire the Ceridian Source Assist product operating on an ASP platform.
PA was commissioned to assist New Look in developing the business case for executive approval and to facilitate the completion of contract negotiations with Ceridian. PA supported New Look in gaining financial and operational approval to acquire the Ceridian Source product. PA was then requested to lead a project team to deliver the configuration and customisation of the system and to ensure operational delivery.
