How does our selection process work?

The selection process is in three stages:
1. Screening interview and business skill tests - verbal and numerical reasoning
2. Assessment centre:
- Technical interview(s)
- Case study
- Syndicate exercise.
3. Final interview with a member of the PA Management Team, and a personality questionnaire. |

Who are we looking for?
Applications are invited from those with:
- A first or upper-second class honours degree or equivalent evidence of academic ability as a minimum
- An additional professional qualification, eg CEng, MBCS, MBA
- At least three years' experience gained in one or more manufacturing sectors (automotive, aerospace, defence, etc)
- Clear evidence of strong project management skills
- A track record demonstrating a commitment to new challenges, wider influence and greater responsibility
- Languages, especially German
- Proven ability in leading project teams and business development (for more senior positions).
Personal attributes
Successful candidates:
- Will have a passion for client service, enjoying the challenges involved in introducing and implementing new thinking and innovative solutions - fast
- Must be prepared to be challenged and stretched continually and have a continuing desire for growth
- Should have a creative approach to problem solving. We are not looking for consultants to grind through standard methodology - instead each consultant is expected to devise unique and powerful solutions that genuinely address client needs, based on our best practice guidelines and processes
- Will be able to co-operate as a team member with effective communication skills and sensitivity to local cultural issues
- Will be able to lead and manage an effective team, making tough decisions where necessary
- Will be able to absorb new knowledge rapidly and combine both theory and practice
- Will be able to deal with people at all levels.
The role may include periods away from home during the week, and for longer when working across continents.
