Water Resources Management activity
ECODIT was the technical leader in implementing the seven-year, US$10.5 million Water Resources Management (WRS) activity, aimed at improving water resources management and policies, and pollution problems. It did this by implementing three pilot projects: domestic wastewater treatment and reuse in Drarga (near Agadir), prevention of industrial pollution from tanneries in Fes, and soil and water conservation in Oued Nakhla watershed (Rif region).

Participatory workshops and training seminars were also organized to raise public awareness, create project ownership, train beneficiaries in cost recovery, and disseminate appropriate technologies and policies. ECODIT also organized study tours in the US for Moroccan government staff, plant operators, farmers, and tanners.
