Disruptive technologies in sustainability

PA Consulting Group is proud to host delegates from the United Nations Global Compact to Cambridge Technology Centre, where they will attend as part of the Disruptive Technology Field Trip as part of the 2016 Lead Symposium taking place in Cambridge, UK.

Day 1

As part of a project to look at disruptive technologies which could impact sustainability, delegates will experience:

The future of agriculture – Digital has changed business forever – and the agricultural sector is no exception. The digitisation of applications, processes and technologies is giving the sector the opportunity to become more insight-driven, efficient and productive. Some of the biggest players in the agricultural market are investing millions into digital. Find out more in PA’s report on digitising agriculture.

The future of connectivityThe Internet of Things (IoT) is not just about technology, but having a broader vision encompassing the system, stakeholders and technology. This means extending your relationships with customers, acquiring new skills and building business partnerships.

Reinventing manufacturing – All manufacturers have a desire to give their consumers exactly what they want: innovative, aspirational products, available when and how they want them. In our experience, challenging convention allows you to reinvent your key manufacturing platforms, deliver totally new products, explore new channels and go-to-market strategies and most importantly reduce waste and costs.

The weird and wonderful world of PA - At PA, it is key that we are at the forefront of emerging technologies and understand how to allow our clients to maximise the benefit they offer; from AI to machine learning, big data and beyond.

Day 2

Following the field trip, the UNGC will continue with a two day symposium looking at how companies must be willing to embrace change and deliver more sustainable outcomes through breakthroughs in technology and business models that are adapted to tomorrow's economy.

PA life sciences expert, Milind Kamkolkar, will be delivering a keynote address titled "Hitting snooze is not an option" which will be followed by a facilitated workshop on disruptive technologies where we bring together world leading experts on a number of the emerging disruptive technologies such as IoT, Blockchain, Big Data and many more.

PA on sustainability

PA recognises that more and more organisations are rethinking the impact they make; redesigning their products and processes to make them more sustainable. There is far more to this than recycling and waste minimisation. Transitioning to more sustainable, circular economy approaches is as much about new business models, customer propositions and disruptive technological innovation, as it is about the recovering and extracting of value from materials. With experience of both business design and technological innovation across multiple market sectors, PA is the partner of choice to help organisations navigate towards a more circular, sustainable future.
